Maeve Whelan

Maeve Whelan is a Specialist Chartered Physiotherapist in Private Practice in Dublin. She qualified from TCD in 1986 and completed a post graduate diploma in Physiotherapy in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1991, she worked in the Rotunda Maternity Hospital in Dublin and since 1993 has worked in Milltown Physiotherapy Clinic seeing patients privately. She treats pelvic dysfunction of any origin resulting in widely varied symptoms including bladder and bowel control problems, overactive pelvic floor disorders and pelvic pain. She treats men and children as well as women. Maeve teaches pelvic floor assessment and manual therapy of the pelvic floor to physiotherapy colleagues throughout Ireland and the UK. She is a committee member of the Clinical Interest Group of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists called Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health & Continence. She attends National and International Conferences regularly and is a member of the International Continence Society and the International Pelvic Pain Society. Maeve was awarded the title Specialist Member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists in November 2008.
